Tough competition in the market among different credit card issuers force these companies to come up with their own strategies in attracting more customers to sign up for them credit card. The emergence of rewards credit card in a variety of categories and features can be a bit confusing for potential card holders.

Hi there,
I had a look at that link, actually, and it wasn't all that bad. Agree, high annual fees and high interest rates are a detriment because what you pay ends up outweighing the benefits. There is also something else I'd like to add, having experienced it myself. Look at the fineprint in some of these cards and check whether rewards points can actually expire. You might find yourself in a situation where you've left quite a few points accumulate on your card and when you've tried to redeem them you get the horrifying "EXPIRED" sign!
