If you could only have 1 credit card only, what card would you choose and why?

I some times get this question ask to me and it is tough to answer sometimes. We all use cards differently for sure. To answer my own question I guess I would choose the Citi Plat Select Card at this time.

Why:
1. 0% on purchases for 21 months
2. 0% for 21 months on B/T
3. Citi is looked at as a great credit card provider
4. They only require 1% of the balance for a payment during your promo period.
5. No liabilty and ID theft protection
6. No annual fees

Points and cashback programs do not matter to me really because I'm not a heavy credit card user.

Agree 100%, so it really depends what personal preferences and needs are. For me, I try to focus on best rebate as I currently don't carry any balances and use my credit card like a debit card.

I am currently using a Chase Freedom card for 1% cashback and quarterly categories for 5% cashback.

I totally agree with Magic69. It depends on the individual and there they will have to scan the market to see which one fit them the best with regard to there needs; Maybe they need purchase 0% or balance transfer rates?? Personally I need a credit card that offer a little or zero % on purchases, as I make payments with my card but pay the balance off at the end of the month. I would also like a card which would reward me with point depending on the amount I have spent.
