    Default Corporate Credit Card Question

I figured this forum could help so heres my question..

I have been working for a huge company for several years...they have just promoted me to a new position (which is great) but one of the things they have asked me to do is go on an internal web site and apply for a company credit card. The form asked for my social ss # and dob but no credit-type questions like income or anything. The procedure is for this request to be approved by a corporate guy and then I guess the application sent to US Bank, the card company. My concern is that my credit is awful (chargebacks and late payments and money owed all over the place) I dont want to jeopardize this new position but my fear is that the application will surely be declined and then who knows what my new supervisor will say...maybe they will let me use my own card and turn in an expense report...

I have gotten mixed messages from calling US Bank but the overall consensus is that they told me not to worry as the large company will provide the credit and the only thing they needed my SS# for is if balances go unpaid...and NOT for approval!! Should I be worried about this application being declined or are these ppl right in saying that my credit wont be factored into whether I can get this card??

    Thanks!!

Will you ever have to pay the bill or will the company pay the bill? If it is them, I think you're ok as the lender wants to see the credit of whoever is actually responsible for paying the bill.

Good luck and congrats on the promotion!
