Question Best CC offer for good/excellent credit?

I can definitely find the comparison sites on my own, but I wanted to know if anyone has seen anything noteworthy recently? I also have to consider cards that I can get approved for with my spouse on it, who has fair/good credit.

    Ideas?

It all depends on what you want and how you use the card.

Do you carry a balance? (low interest)

Do you use it like a debit card where rewards could be nice? (skymiles, gas rebates, cash back - whatever fits your lifestyle)

Yeah, I have that annoying trait of wanting it all! We have a department store card that we do tend to carry a balance on, which is stupid b/c the interest rate is outrageous. We also have a Lowe's card that we recently acquired, but it's on a zero interest promo for the grill we bought. I used to have a Cap One Visa with a fixed interest rate, but closed it whenever they changed it to variable. It didn't have any perks with it.

Ideally, I would like to get a card with a decent credit limit, transfer the balance from the dept. store card, and leave it open just for the credit history and high limit it has. Rewards would be cool, too.

Well, you could look at Discover. I don't have one myself, but I have a close friend who swears by them. Their summary looks pretty good:

Get $50 Cash Back Bonus with the Discover® More Card!

    # Great low rates
    # No annual fee
    # 5% Cashback Bonus on purchases in categories like gas, groceries, and travel
    # Up to 1% Cashback Bonus on all other purchases

You might as well get something back when you spend, right?

There are a ton of options out there, though. I have an American Express that gives me airline miles and a Visa that gives me 1% cash back on all purchases. Discover is actually looking juicy now that I've done a little research on it, though.

    *EDIT*
Looks like this has a 0% intro APR until 12/09, too. Hmmm...

As you know there are several that are excellent. I have had a bad experience with Capital One and I personally know about 12 other friends who have had bad experience.By the way, none of us have bad credit. My philosophy about things like this, if I have to keep an eye on someone to keep from getting ripped off, I just don't do business with them and I spread the word. If everyone did this companies with questionable records would disappear.
