Default Anybody tried loan modification?

This isn't an invite for spammers to post links, just to clear that up.

I'm just curious if anybody has tried modifying their loan and, if so, what was your experience like?

From reading what others have said the successful modification rate is very low and the consumer ends up paying up front money that they lose.

I feel that this will be a dying market as more people are aware of the laws passed under the Obama Administration to help homeowners.

Simply calling your mortgage holder and asking for modification under the Home Affordable Modification Program is all you need to do now.
