Whst happens to your score during a credit dispute
when you dispute items on your credit report, does your score go up because they can't use the "negative" things against you or does it even matter??
-
it depends on the result of the disputes... if negatives are removed as a result, your scores will surely rise. if they remain, your scores will likely stay the same.
disputing is a process... it doesn't guarantee anything

About Credit disputes
if my score is 637 because of 5 negative items and 2 were deleted .What difference am I looking at.

I don't think anybody would be able to give you an accurate answer to that question. The credit scoring algorithms are complicated and rely on a lot of variables. Suffice it to say that your scores will go up, all else being equal

I have seen many people being hurt because they have refused to pay their credit agreements due to disputes with lenders. I would recommend that people continue to pay until the dispute is finalised. Otherwise, the only person that loses is you whilst your missed payments drag your credit score down.
If you win the dispute, your money can always be refunded. If you lose, you cannot remove those missed payments.Compare Experian, Equifax and CallCredit and find out how to get your Free Credit Report!
