Thread: Welcome to CreditForums.org!

I want to personally welcome everyone to CreditForums.org, a place where those of us who use credit for any purpose whatsoever can talk shop.

As a new site (in Decmeber of '06), we hope to soon become a thriving community where our members can get answers to their credit related questions and, in turn, provide help to other members.

Since more members means more chances for each individual to get help, I want to ask everyone to help us grow the site. Tell your friends, co-workers, and relatives. Almost everyone uses credit of some form or other and it is a critical part of our daily lives.

In addition to members spreading the word about CreditForums.org, we'll run contests from time to time to help spur activity and growth. So keep your eye out for chances to win some fun prizes.

Finally, I want to say pull up a chair and enjoy your stay! Our rules of conduct will evolve over time as the need arises, but as a general rule of thumb keep the following in mind:

• Solicitation of members is not allowed
• Common courtesy is the expectation

A few things of which to be aware:

Use common sense. Even though CreditForums.org is a friendly place it is still a public forum. Any information you post will be viewable by anyone visiting the site, so treat your personal information accordingly. Don't post account numbers, social security numbers, etc.

Be wary of solicitation. It is against the rules of CreditForums.org to solicit our members, but as we all know rules are not obeyed 100% of the time. As such, be wary of any solicitations you may receive from other members and even offers to help you out in private. If you have questions about anything the best thing to do is to post it in the forums and wait for a response.

CreditForums.org does not provide legal or professional advice. Information you find here is comprised of opinions and views as posted by our members and should not be considered any other way. You'll find a range of viewpoints on various subjects and would be well served to consider all possible outcomes before deciding on any particular course of action.
