Default Are the online scores of reporting agencies and reports sent to lenders different?

So I have an issue on my credit report. An account snowballed and went to collection for 500.00. I recently paid for my tripple report / score. It came back at 746 / 750 and 826.
I was told by some one in the Auto business that the online scores you pay for are "bumped" higher than what potential lenders see.
I am trying to do a pay to remove deal with them by using this line of thinking / clout..... "My lowest credit score with any of them is 746 even with the negative on my report".
But I dont want to "bow up" on them if the scores they see are different.

I'm not too familiar with the auto finance industry, which is supposedly slightly different than the credit reports pulled by mortgage lenders. With a mortgage, anyway, you always get a disclosure with the exact same three scores used to underwrite your file, for what it's worth.

I've never heard of this. The only thing I have heard of that has any relevance is that auto dealerships have a slightly higher number that is used when buying a car. With scores that high you really shouldnt be worried about a few points here or there anyhow as you should be able to secure the best rates as long as the collect. acc. is taken care of. 3 words, pay for delete.
