Not paying one Chase credit card?
I have two chase credit cards. One has been used nearly to the limit of 3K and the other has not been used at all. I am having serious financial difficulties. Can anyone tell me if Chase will charge off the second card if I do not make payments on the first?
Thanks so much for any help.

Good question. You might give them a call to see if they are willing to work with you. It is in their best interest to get their money back from you. But the answer is probably yes, if they realize that you aren't paying on a card that has a big balance and start charging up extra on a different card with no balance, they will probably do something. Who wouldn't, right?
Good luck - let us know what you end up doing.

If I were you I would avoid not making payments on your card at all. Unless you have had bad credit before you have no idea the nightmare it is. You literally cannot function in our society. You cannot buy a home, a car, rent an apartment, open a bank account or in some cases even get a job.
Your #1 priority in life at this point should be to preserve your credit.
It sounds radical, but you could get a cash advance on the empty card and make minimum payments on the maxed out card. Whatever it takes (legally), preserve your credit.

Yea i agree. Make sure you call chase, ive dealt with them in the past and you never know what fees or actions they will take. About a year ago i closed an account with them but they mailed my information to the wrong address with alot of personal information and my identity was stolen. It sucked and my credit was shot to hell. Chase covered all the expenses lost but it was a shock that a bank would make a mistake. Make sure you make at least the minimum payment on that card. Protect your credit the best you can. Make sure you know what identity theft is it could save your credit also. A quick search i came up with this i hope it helps on other issues. IDENTITY FRAUD and another thing leave Chase lol
