    Default garnishment question please help!!!

    my wife just got a garnishment at work, we never got served any paperwork, the account the garnishment is from is over 7 years old it was charged off back in 2004, its past the sol and has already fell off her credit report, what can i do to stop the garnishment as soon as possible? PLEASE HELP, thank you for any help

    I'd contact a local attorney but she could also look into it through her employer to see why they agreed to garnish - there usually has to be ample proof or they won't do it.
