    good article.
    My wife and I planned everything out before we shopped. Who we were buying for and what to get them.
    Things were tight for us this year and it made it easy to see how much we were spending and sticking to it.
    Another thing we thought of is that we don't need to buy our 2 year old hundreds of dollars worth of gifts. We don't want him to place so much value in material things.
    The funny thing is... we asked him what he wanted for christmas and he said a yellow present and a christmas party. He just wanted to be with his family for christmas.
