EDIT: got over my laziness and looked it up... a grant or scholarship sort of thing; financial aid for education. Hadn't heard the term before.

if thats not possible could you not maybe work while study?

That's what I did... worked full-time and went to school full-time. Not much fun and I'm glad it's over.
