    Default Can you get a student loan if you have a bankruptcy?

    I'm hoping to go back to school for something (don't know what yet) but would have to take out loans to do it. I had a bankruptcy a couple years ago so I haven't bothered looking into it because I figured I wouldn't be eligible (like just about everything else). Does nayone know if I can still get a student loan with a bankruptcy?

    That's a good question. I'd like to think so but don't know positively one way or another. Anybody know about this?

    It probably depends on how long ago the bankruptcy was discharged.

    I don't think that if you are bankrupt then any company will land you any loan.

    Today there are many private financial institute available in the market who give the student loan even if you have bankruptcy...! one of famous is BMAC finance..!

    YES you right there are some private finance companies who gives you loan and charge high rate interest too...All the Best!
