Being Sued by Credit Card Company
Well just a couple days ago. I received court papers that I'm being sued by a credit card company. At the end of March, I made an agreement with this credit card company that I will make payments of $145 a month starting in April. Well I never go the chance to make the payment, because the company had already been filing papers with law firm to sue me. I owe $1669.95 and have to pay their attorney fees. I dont know what to do. I'm currently consulting with a legal aid for help. I have no way of paying. I'm a single mom of two kids, dont own anything in my name and i have no income whats so ever. I'm also a full time college student. Why do credit card companies even bother suing ppl to get their money back when they have insurance? Their insurance gets their money back so if i pay them they are gettin twice as much.

Wow that sounds pretty harsh. What's the story behind the lawsuit? Usually they just send your account to collection instead of filing suit. Or is that what you mean?
I'd definitely talk to a lawyer before you sign anything further with them. Good luck!
