If something totally wrong is on my credit report can it be completly removed and not still be there with
"This item has been updated to report satisfied/released".

California Tax board wrongly filed a lien against me for $12,388 for unpaid income taxes for 1999. Dispite my proving to them to their satifaction that I don't owe them money they will not have it taken off my credit report.

I disputed it but it still is there but only now it says that it has been released.
