With all due respect, some of this information is incorrect. When an account is paid and closed it continues to be calculated in your credit score for 7 years, just like a bad debt would be. As soon as its paid and closed the SOL clock begins.

Wow, great forum. Lots of useful facts and figures and great advice. I would like to contribute a few more tips for improving your credit score:

    - Order your credit report to find out if there are any problems and correct any inaccuracies.
    - Don't have too many credit searches done.
    - Keep the number of credit accounts you have to a minimum (although having some credit is better than not having any at all).
    - Pay on time.
    - If you do fall behind with payments talk to your creditors.
    - Always tell the truth on credit applications.

This is true that even if they have paid all the payment but their score shows negative, this is just because of their late payments and voilation of other rules.
the best source is this that you have to contact with Lexington Laws Credit Repair Expert, Dial 1 888 586 2079
