Questions about Disputing/Pay for Deletion Letters
I am very new to the whole credit game, and i had a few questions. I am about to graduate college, and i am trying to to get my credit straightened out before i do. Two years back, i moved around a lot, and a few (6) random bills fell through the cracks, got sent to a creditor, and posted to my credit. The total of all of these bills is less than $1500. I have paid off about half of these bills, and then i got to reading, and discovered that paying off these accounts wont really help me for another 5 years when they fall off my credit anyway.
So my first question is: How do i dispute the accounts i have already paid? Do i mail a letter, or do i Fax? Where do i mail/fax to and WHO is it adressed to? I have read the "Got My Results Today On Disputes" post and the results seem very promising. I just need to know who needs to see my dispute, and how i get it to them.
Second Question: How do i do the whole "pay for delete" deal? I have come across a few templates for the letter on this site, and they seem straight forward. WHO do i mail this letter to, and WHO is the letter addressed to? Am i better off just challenging the account, or should i try to "pay for delete" first?
Thank you in advance for your help in solving this matter.

You send dispute letters to the credit bureaus that show the negatives and simply address them "to whom it may concern".
