I have 2 listings on my credit reports from Capital One, both credit cards, as "Deceased". They are for $1948 and $1050. They have both been written off and are past the 4 years Pennsylvania SOL and are scheduled to fall off my reports around June 2011. I do not get letters from them and they do not seem to have sold them to a collection agency. I never told anyone to tell them I am deceased or told them myself, but my father has the same name as I do and possibly a relative may have told them he was deceased when they heard the name. Should I just let them fall off, dispute them, but i don't want them to say I committed fraud and say they need to stay on the report, you know let sleeping giants sleep.
