How to repair/improve credit without having employment data displayed on credit rpt?
Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to improve one's credit without having employment data shown on their credit report?
I have one very aggressive collector who is attempting to collect on a debt that is past the MI revolving debt statute of limitations but I've read that at times the duration can be longer than MI's six years. Most websites state the following disclaimer: "Another state's limitation period may apply check statutes carefully."
I've asked the collector for original paperwork for the debt but they have told me that they would not be able to provide this so I am uncertain if the debt is actually past the statute of limitations or not. Any insight into what I could do to figure this out would be appreciated.
Are there any avenues through which I could improve my personal credit rating without showing my employment information?

When you say that you asked the CA for original paperwork, how did you ask? Verbally, over the phone? Have you disputed the debt with the CR or sent a debt validation letter via CMRRR to the CA?
