Thread: Help...Collection account dispute

I have a problem with a collection account on my Transunion and Experian reports that is not mine. I have disputed to both of them several times and also to the collection agency. Transunion and Experian wrote back and said they have verified that this belongs me me. I asked for verification documents and they sent me a letter stating that these documents don't exist. Then how can they say this is mine? I wrote to the collection agency and they will not respond to me. I have informed TransU and Exp of this and they still refuse to remove the account. I have filled a complaint with the FTC and spoke with an attorney. The attorney doesn't seem very interested because I guess that there may not be enough money for him to pursue. I have all written documentation so this should be fairly straightforward. Any suggestions from anyone, or the name of a good attorney that would take this. It has lowered my TransU and Exp scores drastically.
