Thread: Got My Results Today On Disputes

As I said in another post I was trying something a little different then just the typical, this account is not mine, dispute with the CRA's. (which I found on credit boards, from a poster named jack1212.) Well I got my results back today and I had numerous neg removed from my credit reports. I had the best luck with transunion, where I had two AAC, an LVNV, a NCO Financial,(also the original creditor, BOA, that they were collecting on) and a wachovia overdraft account all removed from my credit report. I also had the AAC,NCO and BOA,and Wachovia removed from my equifax. Saw a 50 point increase in trans. and a 25 in equifax. I have to do experian over again because they send me a letter saying the could not do the investigation because they couldnt verify my identitiy. ( you need to send them a copy of your licsence, phone bill, your full name address and ss# when disputing. I am working on a resend to them right now as well as doing a second round of disputes with the other two CRA's. Now to the method i used. I got a hard copy of all my CR and looked at each trade line.( I didnt dispute them all, only 5 on each report, didnt want them to think it was a frivulous dispute and not try to verify.) For each of the credit lines I disputed multiple items. Such as:
Bank of America
Account number is wrong.
Address is wrong.
Phone number is wrong.
Date verified is wrong. This account has been recently disputed and the verified date does not reflect current year. If previous disputes were not investigated this trade line must be removed.
High balance is wrong.
Credit limit is wrong.
Account type is wrong.
Responsibility is wrong; this was not an individual account when it was open.
Date opened is wrong. Account opened in 1997.
Date closed is wrong. Account closed 10/2008.
Remark is wrong, account was settled paid in full, not settled for less than full balance.
Maximum delinquency of 120 days in 7/2007 is incorrect.
Late pays listed in past 47 months is incorrect.
Please correct all of the above or remove this account.

Barclays Bank Delaware
Account number is wrong.
Address is wrong.
Phone number is wrong.
Date verified is wrong. This account has been recently disputed and if it were properly investigated the account would reflect a closed status, no past due amount, no terms, no balance due, and list a date of closure. If previous disputes were not properly investigated this trade line must be removed.

Bascially anything I could dispute I did. Which you can basically dispute any item them report. Just make sure you dispute as specific as possible, that way they really have to do a lot of work to get it verified. I came up with about 4 things per trade line. I didnt want to do more than four or five because that leaves me other things to dispute if it comes back verified. Anyway today was the 30 days and I checked my credit report and it worked. So I told you all I would post this method if it worked, and it did. So start disputing and good luck. I was unsuccessful with a cap one charge off, a bank of america charge off(credit card). These were the original creditors. But once I get my hard copies I am going to again try to get these deleted. They fall off in a couple of years anyway.
