    Default Experian says they have already investigated and verified its accuracy

    Thanks in advance.In a phone conversation with Bank of America I was shocked to learn that some collection agency has me owing someone $365.00 from 2005 that has not been paid.Otherwise I am blemish free, but this black mark has by score at 676. I know my score was 720 in Jan 08.I feel sure this is the work of my ex-wife.How do I pay the bill & get rid of black mark?----------------dispute it

    I would contact the collection agency by registered mail and ask them to validate the debt. You can find sample letters online that will give you all the information you need. If they do not respond to you with answers in 30 days or the receipt of the letter, they must have the items removed from the credit report or you can sue them for reporting items on your credit report that are incorrect.
