Default removal
Hello to all,
I have a question to present...
I had a default notice placed onto my credit file in May 2003, I noticed this last year it was for a returned car as I moved to Canada to work.
The debt is now statute barred. Is there any way I can remove this default? As I want to improve my credit rating.
Thanks for any replies.

Joey - it should drop off all three bureaus in June, since 7 years is the maximum time that negatives can be reported, by law.
That's probably the easiest way to go, since so much time has passed already.
