Credit Card Charge-Off Negotiation
I have tried to keep up with credit card payments; however, I have 1 charge-off and 1 collection forwhich I am seeking removal.I called US Bank to ask if they would erase my charge-off if I paid the balance in full. I told them that prior to an emergency I had honored my commitment to US Bank, but that I had a family emergency that required me to give up my career and relocate overnight. I was

Why dont people ever finish sentences on this site. First off and most important when negotiating anything with a creditor alway do it by mail and certified. They can tell you one thing on the phone but after you pay if you don't have it in writing they can just say they never said that. So always have a hard copy of your agreement.

That makes good sense ccwh, which basically applies to any arrangement in life even if you live in a state which says it enforces verbal contracts.

Yes I am a general contractor and have run into problems trying to get paid after work is done because I do not have a written contract. If you have it in writing it is undisputable.
