Thread: Collections and Charge offs

I need advice as to how to clean up my credit. I have accounts that are more than two years old with collections anc charge offs. Most of the accounts are medical bills. Some have been paid and some still need to be paid. My question is how should I go about handling this. Should I pay these bills off, dispute them, or try to build new credit.

charge offs now, I had a smart lease that was paid in full. Then I turned it in on due date and they changed my credit bureau status from 27 month paid as agreed to charged off (over mileage it was for) 13k. Can they do that when I actually paid the account in full before ending the lease? plz help
