  2. Charge card hotline is latest issue in consumer bureau fight

    The CFPB has been an issue of major contention, and the credit card complaint hotline is the latest part of the CFPB which is causing a row. The hotline would essentially take calls from concerned customers, and the agency would compile complaints about charge card businesses. That said, since the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau hasn't disclosed how it proposes to investigate the information, and that is partially why banks want the information restricted.

    About 67% of those surveyed incorrectly said that age is used in calculating credit scores, and a majority of those surveyed didn’t know that a landlord or a cell phone company may consider applicants' numbers in deciding whether to offer housing or service and at what price.

    Disclaimer: I've never used a payday loan. That's right, I'm going to opine about something I've never used. However, I think it's okay in this case because loan terms are something that are fairly transparent so one can see the pros and cons without actually trying.

    Disclaimers aside, I think these types of quick loans have their place but should only be used when absolutely necessary. If you are using them and not in bad shape financially, then odds are you are simply not managing ...

    Sometimes you will run into issues or problems with your bank when asking for help or assistance. If you have a legitimate financial problem and asked the bank to help out with a payment arrangement or hardship assistance and do not receive help, there is a solution that may just help you. You can contact the Office of the Comptroller of currency or (OCC).
